A Pair of Black-tailed Gnatcatchers in Borrego Springs

On my recent visit to Borrego Springs I encountered a pair of Black-tailed Gnatcatchers warming up in the first rays of sunshine.

The female first came out into the open to fluff her feathers and warm up after a cool night.

Then the male came forward to do the same.
